Cleaning and Cheam 26th October 2003

The 26th October was a day out for all the wolves (apart from Kodiak and Kenai). Once we had gotten used to the idea of the clocks changing and being at the farm for cleaning an hour early, and the fact it was only 5 degree centigrade - things were looking good.

I was on cleaning duty. Then travel up to Cheam Hawtreys School near Headley with Duma and Dakota. Get a quick lunch and then on to selling merchandise in the shop. Sean and I cleaned out Kodiak and Kenai's bedding area, then started on Duma and Dakota's. Half way through a couple of people turned up looking for the seminar. This was great apart from the fact that the seminar was about 20 minutes drive away!

All in all this was a great day. My first real experience of selling merchandise and I think I did OK - took cash, cheque's and credit cards. I got to spend time with the wolves in the enclosure in the morning. Then spend time just generally standing around with them in the afternoon too after the seminar guests had gone.

It may not seem like a glamorous and exciting time, but it helps to fund and keep the wolves.
