Both a good and a bad day - an early start, arriving at 9 a.m. for cleaning
as it was a Wild Arena photography day.
Alex and I cleaned out Duma and Dakota then started to get ready for the photographers
arriving - setting up tables and chairs.
The light was great in the morning and we took the 3 Euro's over to the photo mound. I did not take something though - I did not take my camera. What a prize idiot! With their hormones high there were some fantastic interactions between the Girls especially as Lunca imposed her dominance over Latea. It was great to observe and watch though. Here were three large wolves going hell for leather at each other sometimes and the handlers were perfectly OK standing in the enclosure with them.
We then got the Girls (Duma and Dakota) out to go for a short walk in the woods - only about half the usual length, but with our group of 12 photographers it was great.
Upon returning to the Trust we stopped for lunch, then took the girls over
to the photo mound. With a little prompting from our senior for the day Rich
Watts, I remembered to take my camera over and some of the pictures are below.
The ones below represent less than half the number I took - the others have
been put to the recycle bin.
