A day out at Berkshire College of Agriculture.
It was an early start - 7:15 am at the Trust on a day when the clocks go forward an hour - so it was like having to be at the Trust for 6:15!
We arrived at the College and got all the merchandise ready and the girls into the show cage. Ready for everything to begin at 10am. We were split into 4 teams of 4 people. Each team would do a 90 minute shift - our rota was - time off, merchandise, in the cage, around the cage.
During the time off I got a chance to wander round and see what was at the 'show'. There were a bunch of side shows from the college students, a farmers market, the local radio station, REME and the Air Ambulance.
It was a cold(ish) day - but it was one of those damp days, so the cold really sank in. The girls spent most of the day curled up tightly with the people wondering if we had sedated them! Unfortunately, due to new clauses in our arrangement of keeping the wolves, we were unable to do meet and greets, but should be able to later in the season.
