A very cold day! In fact when I left Bracknell there was a blizzard, but by the time I reached Beenham it had gone.
Started off the day with a meeting about putting the merchandise up on the UKWCT website - so watch this space and you will soon be able to buy Wolf stuff direct online!
Around 11:30 it was time to get ready to go so I helped hitch up the van and got to tow the trailer up to the Girls enclosure ready to go.
We were short on handlers this weekend, enough for the walk, but not as many as usual. When we arrived at the woods we were short on people too! About 8 people did not turn up so there was only about 22 people on the walk.
There are no pics from the walk as I spent most of the time either assissting or handling. In general the walk was fairly uneventful - the girls behaved beautifully and were happy doing meets after an initial sprint. There were a couple of bits of excitement when we came across a man with 2 dogs and no leads, but the person walking ahead warned the man and all behaved beautifully. The only other excitement were 5 deer running across a track, but the wolves did not bother with them.
After we got back to the farm it was time for tea, coffee and biscuits, then down to see the other wolves.
Kenai had been taken out for a walk with the trainees, which she is really loving, and then got a chance to meet the public when they arrived back.

After meeting Kenai everyone had cooled down and was keen to get off home after a clear, but cold day.
I left the farm and went to work, eventually leaving there at 2am!
